What’s New:
Welcome to the Coalition’s
new website. While many areas of the site appear in final form,
you will notice occasional links that appear as ‘under construction’.
We do hope to build these pages in the near future.
Information on this site is meant for general
purposes only. If you require specific advice regarding a human
rights situation, please contact us directly.
Effective March 31, 2003, amendments to the
BC Human Rights Code came into effect. Formal complaints of discrimination
are now filed directly with the BC Human Rights Tribunal. Information
about human rights, the Human Rights Code, and how to file a complaint
is available on this site, from the BC
Human Rights Tribunal, the Ministry
of the Attorney General, and through Government Agent offices
across BC.
Coinciding with the opening of a new direct
access Tribunal in BC, a publicly funded human rights clinic has
been established to provide those making complaints with the supports
required to access and pursue their claims.
